Interactive Installation
NADABET INDO PAK BORDER

Client: Government of India
Location: Nadabet Border
Year: 2021
Role: Processing, Leap Motion, Javascript

About the project:

Nadabet is designed to take the visitor on a journey of grit and resilience.

Right from the gates to the very Indo-Pak border located 25KM inside, it is an enthralling experience where every visitor entering, will leave a patriot. In Nadabet, the AV experience zone is designed and installed.

AV EXPERIENCE ZONE:

  • TIME TO REFLECT
  • 180° PHOTO BOOTH
  • JOSH METER
  • BSF QUIZ
  • AR SELFIE BOOTH
  • AR WALL MURAL

My Role:

In this project, I took on a multifaceted role. I handled coding tasks, including creating the programs for Josh Meter and the BSF quiz. I also worked extensively with sensors, such as Leap Motion, to enhance interactivity and functionality. Additionally, I played a key role in conceptualizing and assisting the team with executing various installations.

1: Josh Meter

What is the Installation about: Josh Meter is an interactive installation in which people engage with the Indian army virtually and express their zeal and josh (energy). It is a fun, engaging and interesting installation. It exemplifies the victory cry among Indians while celebrating the Indian army.

How it works: Users can interact / control this installation through the intensity of their voice. The logic behind this installation is that there are decibel ranges set on different levels within 30 seconds, which uses a microphone to take mic input from users. The program shows the mic input at different decibel levels at different levels of installation. Users have to stand in front of the Installation and have to complete the levels by shouting loudly. The first level

is set on medium decibel, the second level is on a higher decibel. Users have to shout as loud as they can to express their josh (energy). Then through the mic input, the voice will be measured in decibels. If the user reaches a higher decibel, then the user wins, if not then the user loses.

My role: Processing
2: BSF Quiz

What installation about: Border Security Force (BSF) Quiz, is an interactive installation, where questions are asked from the question bank of BSF entrance exam. It's an engaging and illuminating installation which enhances the learning opportunities for the participant.

How it works: In this installation, users will be asked five questions, which are asked in the BSF entrance exam, with four options to choose from. Users will interact with installation via leap motion sensor, to give a touchless experience. If the user selects the wrong answer, the option box will turn red, and if the answer is right, it will turn green. At the end, it will display user performance and total score. Each time a new set of five questions are asked. Random shuffling of questions also takes place and options are also shuffled. This gives a fun and learning experience to the users.
